It's a cool spot to be when you have a bit of disposable income in your back pocket. A bit pricy for boise in general, but on the lower end of spectrum cost wise when it comes to downtown living. The amenities are amazing!!! Gym, coffee bar, rooftop terrace with a grill and a modern contemporary fireplace and bike storage are some of the included amenities of this rental. I never have to pay for coffee, it's the best!!!!! I've had it good working with the management company here at The Vanguard. They're in their office during normal business hours and were there to help with any questions I had regarding, rent, insurance, etc. I'd say they're a good management team. The apartment units themselves are nice, but not flawless to say the least. There's just some small details with very specific things in the unit that don't really bother me personally, but might bother someone else (cabinets appear uneven, no living room light, etc.). It's as if the builder was in a rush to meet the deadline so his contractors had to push through to get it done on time. I'd say overall, it's a good spot to be. And most of my friends and family who have seen this place in person would agree.

This is hands-down the best apartment complex for the money, period end. The building has undergone some anomalous maintenance problems, but now that that’s behind us – there’s no better value proposition in downtown Boise. This location has too much going for it to not be considered a serious option for those looking to live in downtown Boise… 1) Trader Joe’s is DIRECTLY across the street (say goodbye to having to plan grocery runs and play ‘Parking Lot Tetris’). 2) <5 min walk from all the best bars and restaurants. 3) Locked indoor bike storage with tools & air pumps for bikes. 4) Rooftop deck with a grill and fire pit. ..As someone who moved to Boise from out of state, I found that living in the Vanguard unlocked the ability to enjoy everything downtown Boise has to offer - staying in close proximity to nightlife, downtown events, and mountain biking trails. This allowed me to network, meet people, and become established. Lastly, The building staff are excellent and very accommodating. I would highly encourage anyone to live here. If you find yourself on the fence, stop in and talk to the staff - they’re more than happy to show you around!!

Update: I have lived in this apartment for almost 2 years now. Due to recent circumstances (pipe bursting) I am moving. I must give this apartment credit for allowing me to get out of my lease and having grace with the residents’ living conditions. Once this apartment finishes construction it will be a great place for residents to live and is also located in a great location.

I am so thankful I decided to reside at The Vanguard downtown!! The decor is modern and tastefully done. I love natural and uncluttered aesthetic; this location provides a minimalistic, open space that feels great when walking into the building. Each apartment has an outdoor view (due to the shape of the building) and comes with wifi built into each residence (convenient!). The coffee downstairs is delicious. And, although this apartment does not have a gym in-house, we are linked to an excellent deal with a gym nearby. The price is great compared to similar downtown competitors, and the management is wonderful. Both Jessi and Shane have helped me immensely--they each went above and beyond to provide excellent service to me. It says a lot about a business to have so much genuine assistance--the owner of this facility is lucky to have both Jessi and Shane working for the company. . .I have never been so impressed with the service and care. Just THANK YOU!!! The apartment is fantastic, but the service made me inclined to write this review--I just greatly appreciate all your transparency and kindness!!!

This apartment are beautiful! Prime location and modern feel. I appreciate Jessica taking the time to give us a thorough tour of the unit and detailed information on the amenities the Vanguard has to offer. We unfortunately moved in another direction, but if the opportunity ever arises, this will be my first choice!
